Foreign Language classes
Language Department organized Foreign Language classes for the students of Shivaji Science College. The students of other colleges also attended and successfully completed the course. It is a self financed short term course in Foreign Languages – French , German and Japanese. It was organized in collaboration with Linguistic Department , RTM University Nagpur. Faculty for foreign languages Dr. Sengupta :- German / Shri Amey Patki :- Japanese Mrs Anjali Chafekar and Mrs Pragya Bhagwat :- French The duration of course-was from 15 Sept 2016 to 26 oct 2016. The classes were held 5 days per week.It was 40 days course 53 students successfully completed the course. They were awarded certificates after they completed the Course .
Hindi Diwas celebration
Hindi Diwas celebration by Language department Language department organized Hindi Diwas on 29 sept 2016, in collaboration with Vidharbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. Dr Veena Dade, HOD Hindi , RTM University Nagpur and Dr Karuna Umre , Ex HOD Hindi ,LAD college Nagpur and President , Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Nagpur were the chief guest for the function. Students presented Hindi poems, parody and a play on Uri attack in which Indian soldiers were killed. Some of the students expressed their views regarding importance of Hindi in day to day life. The programme was well attended by the teachers and the students.
