Development of Intearctive app for Kigulu Chiefdom Heritage Site in Busoga, Uganda-

Dr. Sarang Dhote, an Assistant Professor of the Department of Chemistry at Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur, has developed an interactive app for the Kigulu Chiefdom Heritage Site in Busoga, Uganda. The app, called "Cultural Resource in Busoga,"  launched on 18th April, 2023, which is World Heritage Day.

The Kigulu Chiefdom is one of the 11 Chiefdoms that make up the Busoga Kingdom, and its heritage site boasts of unique spots such as Nhenda Hill, Buliganwa Hill, Kabuli Hill, Kintu –Buswikira shrine, Busoga Hill, and many more. The app is designed to provide visitors with information about each spot on the site, using unique plates with QR codes and numbers. Once scanned through the app, the site will interact with users and provide them with information about the site.
The app, which is available for free on the Google Play store, is compatible with Android, iPhone, and Windows phone. It was developed with the support of Mr. Abraham Kitaulwa, the Chairperson of the Uganda Community Museums Association (UCOMA).
