Department of SC/ST Committee

The SC/ST Cell plays a critical role in the accreditation process for institutions undergoing evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The SC/ST Cell is established within educational institutions to ensure the welfare and development of students and staff belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), in line with government policies and regulations.

Objectives of the SC/ST Cell:

1. Promote Inclusivity: To ensure social inclusiveness and equity in the academic environment, offering equal opportunities for SC/ST students in academic and extracurricular activities.

2. Implementation of Government Policies: The SC/ST Cell ensures the proper implementation of government policies and programs meant for the benefit of SC/ST communities, such as scholarships, reservations in admissions, and faculty recruitment.

3. Grievance Redressal: It acts as a grievance redressal body, addressing issues faced by SC/ST students and staff related to discrimination, harassment, or denial of rights, ensuring a safe and supportive campus environment.

4. Awareness and Empowerment: Conducts seminars, workshops, and awareness programs that promote educational and social development of SC/ST students. These initiatives may include career guidance, skill development, and leadership training programs.
