Year 2022-23

Advanced Water Testing Kit 

Under the supervision of Prof. R. U. Khope, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and with the ongoing support and encouragement of Respected Prof. M. P. Dhore Principal, Prof. Y. K. Meshram and Dr. S. S. Dhote developed an On-Field Water Testing Kit. 1. Advanced Water Testing Kit. Dr. S. S. Dhote transformed the same kit by amalgamation of Technology and Chemistry into the Advanced On Field Water Testing Kit.Using this sophisticated kit, it is possible to quickly analyze more than 10 physicochemical water parameters like Hardness and Type of Hardness, Chlorides, TDS, EC, Alkalinity and their types, etc... As part of JAL, this kit is given out to surrounding institutes for water analysis in the local area.

On the ocasion of World Water Day on 23 May 2023 Dr. Yogita Meshram and Dr Sarang Dhote demonstrated advanced water testing kit in the laboratory. For this 16 students and staff members of different colleges affiliated to RTM Nagpur university, Nagpur and Gondwana University, Gadchiroli present. As a part of consutancy, Water Testing kits were distributed to different colleges. The program was conducted by Dr Priyadarshini Deshmukh and vote of thanks was given by Dr Shubhangi kene. All the staff members of department of chemistry. Dr Utale ,Dr Gunjate , Dr Urkude, Dr Reshal Deshmukh, Dr Priyadarshini Deshmukh , Dr kene  and students were present on this occasion.

2.Inter-University one day workshop on “Cosmetics and Allied Products

Beyond only maintaining physical health, cosmetics can help us to feel better, look better and have higher self-esteem. Being significant tools for social expression, they can also aid in expressing personal styles. So on 21st March 2023, Department was organized Inter-University one day workshop on “Cosmetics and Allied Products”. A chief guest Dr. Ketki Misal had given hands on training to manufacture variety of cosmetics like hand wash, hand sanitizer, herbal hair oil shampoo and phenyl in practical sessions.This activity was extended to other college students. 

3.Vidarbha Level One Day workshop on Eco Friendly Holi Colours 

Workshop on Eco-Friendly Holi Colours was organized on 1st March, 2023, to raise awareness of adversed effects of conventional colours. Through this workshop, college students form different institutions  awared about to celebrate Holi in a safe, eco-friendly, and sustainable way.
